The water warms, the surf subsides.... we are all glad that it is... suddenly spring...  March and April are considered the rainy season here in Hawaii...  but rain or shine..... spring in the islands...  happens suddenly and splendidly... You can  define the colors orange and blue by the arrival of spring....  its a beautiful time.... this Suddenly Spring......

Can you believe some people actually Hate Hawaii?  Yes, those of us who live here in the islands see and hear it ALL the time....  The pictures in todays entry I've taken in the last 2 weeks, February 2015 into March 2015...  .. For awhile i figured well maybe it the terrible winters we have here... You know Big waves and all....  ... or maybe its the rain of Spring.... that people hate.....  and then i smile because it boils down to this... if you cant live here in Love and peace... ... on a personal note , just my opinion...you cant live Anywhere....

There is an active Volcano on the Biggest island of the Hawaiian island Chain... when the winds shift.... the VOG (volcanic Haze) drifts over the island chain and onto the island i live on, Oahu....The ancient Hawaiians called the Volcano PELE...  PELE or Madame Pele as the locals call her, creates super sunrises, like this one this morning..... Its prehistoric....and very very beautiful...

This place on the North Shore of Oahu is privy to the sunset only a few weeks out of the year. Knowing this I headed down to catch a sunset.... I never expected to see a turtle resting on the sand here , so much so, I almost walked into him. What a delight it was to see him!! For some reason its always been a challenge for me to get a sunset capture with a Turtle. I don't know if its the light , the sand, the turtle , the air that creates a less than perfect shot, but on this day, with this sunset.... I got lucky..... with this one.... I am a lucky Island gal......

 The ocean is winter rough around Oahu... I have been grounded....It is a difficult time... LOLOL.... I was sitting at a stop light the other day and looked up.... Three things you are gonna see on Oahu.... traffic lights , Kamehameha Hwy and rainbows... seeing them all in one place?  no guarantee....I had to stop and take the shot.... seriously!!   =)

 Winter in the Islands is in full swing....                                                                      the water way too rough for me to swim in.....                                                                                             but the views from the  shoreline  are incredible.........                                          .......in Blues and greens and whites..... the colors of winter in Hawaii Nei
