 I must confess....  those of us who live here in the islands.... we forget, take advantage of, ignore the beauty we live amidst.... Shame on us..... I must confess.....

See the rock on the right of the picture? As a child , during the winter I got stuck behind it..... The Big Winter waves of Waimea Bay Oahu, pushed me on a collision course with that little rock, my life flashed before my eyes.... I was pulled to safety by one of my friends.... That rainbow lives out there.... I've taken many pictures of her....and each and every time I take this particular shot, I remember that day . Its GOOD to be alive..... I love that I can CHOOSE how I wish to live, that I can live a good life between A Rock And a Rainbow!! p.s. yes thats two birds flying UNDER the rainbow..... it just magnificent out there!! I am a grateful Island gal.........

 Ive come to understand that many many things  within Mother Nature  can help us in daily living....yesterday August 25th, 2014 I found my self swimming in a downpour.... It was really raining.... For me personally, I swim rain or shine... I love the sound of the rain on the ocean... its blissful....   But when the rain passed and the sun came out.... yup, a Rainbow!!!!.... As the rain moved further away going west, the newly risen sun of the east just lit up the sky with a magnificent rainbow.... No song or saying or prayer or sigh or yelp of joy could ever do justice to the rainbow I stood in front of.... I smiled and thought... "Such is Life, we ALL must go thru the rain.... but as the rain begins to move off into your  past remember .......LOOK  for  that  Rainbow Connection!!

Even with all the heat and humidity, the blue blue summertime waters of Waimea Bay, North Shore, Oahu                                              is  like standing on the edge of Heaven......

 The sun rolls towards the horizon in the islands, she is sizzling hot,  she  isgetting ready to leave for the day. Stunning hot sunsets are the norm  in Hawaii during the summers....  The occasional summer  rain is greeted by the sizzling sun , breaking into a song called a rainbow....  and then if that weren't enough above the Ocean... the waters of summer here on Oahu turn into cathedrals of light!! clear, crystal, beautiful COOL water!!! Thank Goodness for the Ocean!! Its cooling powers epic to the Island people!! Put them all together and you have The Hawaiian Islands and her stunning Summers......

An old friend swoops in  underwater, on a sizzling summer day here on Oahu.... Looks me straight in the eye, very unusual for a turtle, eye contact,and i swear I heard "WHAAAZZZUPPPP??"   Made my day it did. Just made my day!!

The water warms, the sun starts to sizzle..... Summer as arrived on Oahu.....   The water clears,                                                                                                               The  fragrance of blooming flowers abound all over the island  the turtles move back onto the shoreline The Ocean turns 50 shades of blue.... Summer on Oahu..... I am a  Happy Happy, Hawaiian Island gal............
