The place i call heaven.....  I had found discarded fishing line stuck to the underwater reef, a huge hazard to   swimming turtles.....I brought my knife and with the help of a passerby cut the line from the reef... When i got to shore, the winter storm clouds over me parted and what did i see? Can u see it ?? right there in the middle of the third picture..........a turtle in the sky.... I took it as a "Thank You"....... Magic??.... nope.... just the wondrous, mysterious, beauty of Mother Nature~~ I am an island gal........ p.s.  picture of the "sky turtle" is just as i shot it.... =)

It is that time of the year here in Hawaii   Winter is peeking thru the clouds.... The sun still summer warm, the clouds, winters messengers.... together, they create here in the islands... rainbows that glow........ Glow Bows..... I am an island gal...............

Persevere and Endure... 2 words that can drive a human crazy..." WHY cant things be just a little easier?" i hear it often... " Life is tough" hear that one often too...  This time.....  I waited 2 years for the dolphins to come into shallow water... see those white things floating in the picture? they STING? Ive mentioned them before...to Persevere and Endure... was it worth it? .......  In this first picture u see 5 baby dolphins.. there are six but one is hidden.... this moment alone would make eternity worth the wait... Baby dolphins learning the shore line... Mommy dolphins secure enough with my presence to let them swim by...  The wait.... the pain from the stinging.... disappeared..... all forgotten.... vanished ... Perseverance and Endurance ... 2 verbs according to the dictionary...I realized ive inadvertently been using these 2 words for years....then it hit me..... not giving up can CHANGE your Life!...

Beautiful Makua Oahu, it takes me an hour to get here from my house.... It is worth every single minute it takes.... A Summer Sunday in September.... this island gal loves it!!  p.s. that's a baby dolphin in the last picture....it just doesn't get any better... 9-9-12

I sit in the ocean where i have never sat before....  Mother Nature in her magic has covered a lava rock reef that juts out into the ocean with sand....i am delighted.... i swing my feet over the sand covered reef ledge and smile... Ive never seen the mountain range, from land, from this angle... its magnificent... After awhile, i see the turtles at my feet and smile... " Hi u guys, how is this for a seat?!! The day had been hot... the water is cool but not cold... i can feel my boiling blood start to cool...all of a sudden from behind me , a voice pierces my thoughts... "OMGOMG they KNOW you!!!"... behind me 4 visitors to the island stand mouths open in smiles... "oo i don't know" i reply,  "Ive been coming here for years,l I think i smell like a turtle" they look at me skeptically....  One woman slides into the water , goggles tilted crooked on her beautiful face..Half in the ocean and half out of the Ocean, she dips her head underwate...

As u can tell by my last post, I am again home in Hawaii...my trip to Boston delightful... time with my daughter, priceless... time with my granddaughter a gift... she is an ocean lover also... I so enjoyed watching her loving gaze out over the Atlantic...this act of watching the water was never taught to Malia... It is in her blood, her DNA driven urge to see with her eyes , and hear with her ears... The Song of the Sea...

 Makua.... morning... I start my swim on the far right side... when i get to the middle of this beautiful stretch of ocean, the mountains suddenly appeared to my eyes to be spread like two open arms welcoming the sea and those in it  .Even though the mountains are summer dry, they are still magnificent.  I feast my eyes on the sight...I started to sing, the Hawaiian leaving my lips as sighs deep from within my soul. Time... there is none.. am I here in the 21st century or back in another time?..My thoughts follow my limbs, treading water almost  motionless, caught in between now and another time long ago...This place, the water, the mountains, her valleys, priceless, timeless. I am shaken back into reality , the now, by the sound of a motor.. a boat... I continue my song, my tongue soothed by the words... From my shallow water perch , I look to my right. Dorsal fins.. "HUI" I say, "E Komo Mai". The dorsal fins turn my way and i become part of the pod. Wild and fre...
