Dolphin Days and Dr. Kit.




Saturday and Sunday May 22 & 23 2010.. dolphins dolphins dolphins=0D.







I never ever get tired of seeing them.








Kit a friend of mine was with me Sunday. I told her, "keep swimming, Kit" and she did... soon she was surrounded by dolphins.. She lifts her head out of the water and starts yelling," I AM THE LUCKIEST PERSON ON THE PLANET."






Dolphins do that to you. Kit came here to Hawaii only a couple years ago. She has worked hard her whole life. I met Kit on the beach at Waimea. Kit WAS all business. Her life of work and more work, diagnoses and healing makes her just a little different by all outward appearances. Kit is a doctor.



I have no greater joy in my life than seeing the ocean transform a life.


Dolphins see by sonar..


They see our hearts...


their sonars allow them to look past outward appearances..




All the knowledge and all the logic that Kit possess disappear
in the presence of the dolphins. I am curious to see as time goes on and i know it will happen, just how much the dolphins will change Dr, Kit.









I am an island gal....

I agree. I think that by interacting directly with nature (without other people), I leave the persona that I've constructed over the years and can be the real me.
BTW, I'm jealous while also being happy for you. I haven't seen dolphins in ages.

Returning Home

It is time for me to return to the North Shore full time. It is at Waimea Bay on the North Shore of Oahu, that I sit and wait for the tell tale ripples of water that signal the DOLPINS have arrived! The water calming down from the massive winter waves that just a few weeks ago pounded this side of the island, i return to her shores full time with glee! I will be subjected to the teasing of the regulars at the Bay who jokingly say, "Wheres the dolphins, Lani?" I always say in my mind, "There are far worse places I would need to wait!" LOLOL. This weekend the Bay gave a sneak performance of how magnificent her waters will be! Clear beautiful water, clean beautiful sand, the sun creating stain glass window like patterns on the sandy sea floor. And if that isn't enough the days of spring and summer on the North shore of Oahu, end with sunsets that are just magic!

Dolphin Day

They swam by me at mach speed swimming into the bay.. they turned around and passed me again checking out my orange swimsuit. I dont think they like it...LOL... It was good to see them.. they played tag with me for awhile, back and forth, back and forth. Finally exhausted i hauled myself out of the water and watched as they came close to shore , if i would of stayed in the water i would of got some major pics. I was just too tired,they are much much better swimmers than i am... lol...till next time.... I am an island gal.......
