I have taken many pictures for this blog at the place where this young man died. My heart breaks for the family of this young person who died way toooo soon. I will take a short break from swimming here out of respect for this young life.

That is very sad. And you will never look at the area in the same way again.

Things like this can happen so easily. Just a break in one's concentration and disaster can strike. And I agree with Faye. You will never be able to look at the area the same.

Faye , It is sad. I love the Ocean and understand that each time you set one foot into her waters you take a chance with your life. I have grabbed a hold of babies whose parents have dropped them because of the power of the water. When our children are any where near the Ocean we as adults need to be ultra aware of where they are at all times.

Fire, I think what this does for me the most is to make me more aware of the power of the ocean. I wish i would of been there that day maybe i could of helped. =0(
